What a great place to sit outside and still be under cover! This room is able to be used year-round - with the fireplace for colder weather and the fan for when it’s warm. We decided against using screens on this porch because of the way it wraps around to the front of the house would make for an awkward transition. There are pros and cons to building a porch without screens but we must admit, there is nothing like a non-obstructed view!

Check out this time-lapse of our crew removing a load-bearing wall and installing a flush beam. The 2x4 studs are there for temporary support for the floor above and can be removed once the columns are set in place. We will be sure to post more pics of this kitchen as we get further along!
